Arthur toon crosses Finnish line

Arthur

Arthur & the Minimoys

A Finnish broadcaster has acquired the forthcoming CGI animated series Arthur & the Minimoys from Germany-based distributor Studio 100 Media.

Nelonen Media, part of Sanoma Media Finland, has taken exclusive TV rights to the 26×26′ series for its free and pay TV channels in the Nordic country.

The series is based on Luc Besson’s book saga and subsequent movie trilogy and was among the 10 most screened shows by buyers at MipJunior earlier this month.

It is currently in production and the first episodes of the series are due for delivery by December 2017.

It comes after Nelonen Media acquired the CGI series Nils Holgersson (52×13′) and The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill (52×12′) from Studio 100.

The broadcaster operates four nationwide free-to-air TV channels and five pay TV channels in Finland.
