Argonon opens Scottish arm

UK production outfit Argonon and its Remedy Productions arm are expanding north to Scotland and opening new offices. Remedy Scotland and Argonon Scotland will be based together in Glasgow.

The company is hunting for an exec to take up the joint role of head of Remedy Scotland and head of Argonon Scotland, reporting to Remedy’s chief creative officer Tom Blakeson and Argonon group CEO James Burstall.

Remedy is currently filming its Channel 4 quizshow Fifteen to One in Scotland, while sister Argonon subsidiary Leopard Drama worked on its children’s drama series Eve north of the border.

The move follows the recent hire of Sophie Wurzer-Williams as head of factual entertainment. The indie production group has now opened offices in London, Glasgow, New York and Vancouver since its launch in 2011.
