Sony’s slate heads south

Pan-Latin American broadcasters have acquired dramas including Last Resort and The Mob Doctor after picking up Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) entire slate of new scripted series.

Fox International Channels Latin America has licensed medical drama The Mob Doctor and A&E has acquired legal series Made in Jersey.

Submarine thriller Last Resort will debut on AXN in November.

The Mob Doctor, Last Resort and Made in Jersey all made their US debuts last month on Fox, ABC and CBS respectively.

Sony Pictures Television Networks, Latin America, has also added The Client List, which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, to its schedule and will premiere the show on SET this month.

Another deal has seen Viacom International Media Networks The Americas take comedy Men at Work and talkshow Kathy for Comedy Central.
