Belgian preschool live-action series Bumba the Clown is to be redeveloped into a cartoon by a New York-based animation studio.

Bumba (52x11′) will be coproduced in the US by Little Airplane Productions (Small Potatoes, The Wonder Pets) alongside Studio 100, the Belgian creators of puppet series Bumba the Clown.
As part of a redesign for an international market, the non-dialogue, animated version of Bumba will include an educational element that helps preschoolers develop problem-solving skills, according to Studio 100.
