National Geographic has hired a new production and development executive from Warner Horizon-owned prodco Next Entertainment.
Noel Siegel has been named senior VP of production and development and will have responsibility for developing series and event specials for National Geographic channel.
He will be based in Washington, working with senior VP of programming and development Alan Eyres in LA, and reporting to executive VP of programming Michael Cascio.
He was previously senior VP of television development at Warner Horizon Television’s Next Entertainment prodco. Prior to that he was VP of production, development and acquisitions at Fox Look.
The network has also promoted Lynn Sadofsky to VP of production and development, based in New York and reporting to Eyres. It’s named Robert Palumbo as executive producer. Sadofsky joined Nat Geo as executive producer and director of production and development in 2011 while Palumbo has produced shows for History, AMC, Sundance Channel, Discovery and HBO among others.
