The production arm of European broadcaster Modern Times Group (MTG) has hired a former ITV Studios Nordic exec as its new MD of international sales following the departure of Strix’s Mia Engström.

Jonas Linnander-Manfred will take up his new role at Sweden-based MTG Studios (fka Modern Studios) on October 15, having most recently been director of international sales and business affairs at ITV Studios Nordic.
He has previously worked in international sales with Silverback, Talpa Scandinavia and Strix, the latter being part of MTG Studios since its creation earlier this year.
Linnander-Manfred effectively fills the gap created in the MTG Studios ranks after Strix director of international sales Mia Engström left for Sparks/Eccho, as revealed by C21 last month.
MTG has ambitions to develop its production arm into a leading content business and Linnander-Manfred’s appointment is in line with this strategy, said Patrick Svensk, CEO and chairman of MTG Studios.
