US cablenet Investigation Discovery (ID) will give a television premiere to Werner Herzog’s feature doc Into the Abyss as part of its fall line-up.
The film, in which the maverick German director interviews death row inmate Michael Perry and those affected by his crimes, will air on Tuesday October 23 at 20.00 (ET/PT). The companion four part Death Row series aired on ID in March.
In addition, ID is bringing ABC series Final Witness into its schedule from October 1 and will premiere season two of Homicide Hunter: Lt Joe Kenda the day after at 21.00. A third season of Devil You Know begins on October 17 at 22.00 followed a day later by The Will: Family Secrets Revealed.
The channel’s newest commission Motives & Murders: Cracking the Case makes its debut on October 30 at 22.00.
