A judging panel of top international buyers and programmers has been announced for the C21/Frapa Format Awards.
The panel includes:
Julie Bristow, executive director of factual entertainment, CBC, Canada;
Phil Edgar-Jones, head of entertainment, BSkyB, UK;
Jeff Ford, director of programming, Channel 5, UK;
William Hoes, head of formats, NCRV, the Netherlands;
Dermot Horan, director of broadcast and acquisitions, RTE, Ireland;
Markus Küttner, senior VP of comedy and real-life, RTL, Germany;
Sascha Naujoks, senior VP of reality, ProSiebenSat.1 TV, Germany;
John Ranelagh, head of acquisitions, TV2, Norway;
Esther Sánchez, head of formats, Mediaset, Spain;
Markus Sterky, content strategist and format acquisitions, SVT, Sweden;
Nomin Chinbat, CEO of Mongol TV, Mongolia.
This panel will select the winner in each of the seven format categories from the top five entries, as voted for online by C21Media.net’s community of more than 35,000 international entertainment executives.

Online voting finishes on October 2 – that’s just two weeks away! – at which point each of our judges will pick their favourite shows from the top five entries to choose the winners.

The awards will be presented on Wednesday, October 10 at a gala ceremony at ClubC21 during Mipcom 2012.
