Former CBC exec Tom Hastings has resurfaced at Bell Media, stepping up as production executive for independent drama production at the Canadian firm.
Hastings was among three drama execs who exited the national pubcaster mid-summer following its budget cuts. His new duties at Bell mirror those of his old job – developing and producing series and movies for its two CTV networks and 30-odd specialty channels. He reports to director of independent drama production Trish Williams.
His credits at CBC include the drama series Arctic Air and The Republic of Doyle. Before that he was a production exec at Alliance Atlantis Communications.
