A+E Networks UK has appointed a new VP of commercial operations with responsibility for channel distribution throughout Europe.
Bakori Davis has joined the A+E Networks and BSkyB joint venture to oversee linear and non-linear channel distribution across its territories.
A+E Networks UK operates channels including History, Crime & Investigation Network and Military History across UK, Ireland, central and eastern Europe, Scandinavia, the Benelux, Africa and the Middle East. The network recently increased its carriage of History by launching the channel in Romania.
Davis will also manage international ad sales and branded content, and the commercial exploitation of the company’s rights including programme distribution, DVD, VoD, online and mobile.
He will report to A+E Networks UK MD Tom Davidson having previously been VP for content distribution at Viacom Media Network. Prior to that he was at Discovery Communications.
