Ron Howard has been confirmed as the director of a new documentary on rapper Jay-Z, based on his two-day Made In America festival in September.
Howard will follow Jay-Z throughout the two-day event, which will include performances from 20 artists.
Howard’s Oscar-winning production partner Brian Grazer, who previously produced the Katy Perry: Part of Me documentary, will produce the as-yet-untitled doc alongside Steve Stoute and Jay-Z.
The festival takes place in Philadelphia on September 1 and 2 and features performances from Run-DMC, Calvin Harris and The Hives among others.
