Australia’s Beyond Distribution has secured international sales rights to CMJ Productions’ new documentary series Fatal Vows (10x60′).
The crime series, which is due to launch at Mipcom in October, uses re-enactments, interviews and archive footage to tell the real-life stories of spouses who have killed their partners.
Investigation Discovery in the US and Canada, Canal D in Canada and AETN UK are among the show’s commissioning broadcasters, with the series to be made available to broadcasters globally by the end of the year.
At the same time, Beyond will also launch the third season of CMJ series The Will: Family Secrets, which looks at conflicts surrounding the estates of deceased celebrities like singers Etta James and James Brown.
Quebec-based CMJ is an independent prodco that specialises in documentaries. Beyond is part of Beyond International.
