Discovery Networks International (DNI) has promoted production and development executives Jon Sechrist and Sarah Thornton.
Sechrist has been named VP of production and development for DNI and TLC International, managing the content partnerships between DNI and the female-skewed networks including OWN, Discovery Fit & Health and ID: Investigation Discovery. He will also continue to develop and exec produce for TLC International, including the upcoming Swinger Wives.
Thornton has been promoted to VP of production and development for DNI Lifestyle, with a focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in London, she will oversee TLC series including Ultimate Shopper and Your Style in His Hands, while working on locally commissioned projects across her territory.
“The growth and success of DNI’s production and development unit thus far can be in large part attributed to the strong efforts and solid programming output from both Jon and Sarah,” said DNI executive VP and chief operating officer Luis Silberwasser.
