USA Network has appointed a new VP of original scripted programming from Universal Cable Productions (UCP).
Reena Singh was VP of development and current programming at UCP and will now oversee the production of Covert Affairs and Fairly Legal at the US cable channel, reporting to executive VP of original scripted programming Bill McGoldrick.
UCP and USA are both owned by NBCUniversal.
While at UCP, Singh developed shows for USA including Fairly Legal and In Plain Sight. She previously worked on developing and producing original movies for Disney Channel and as an entertainment associate at ABC.
The appointment follows USA’s recent hiring of Scott Friedman as VP of alternative programming.
