The UK’s Channel 4 will screen a six-hour all-night rave uninterrupted and ad-free, alongside a two-hour documentary about clubbing.
How Clubbing Changed the World (1x120′), from Jamie Oliver’s indie Fresh One Productions, will air on Channel 4 at 22.00 on Friday August 24.
The film will be followed by House Party, a six-hour set from DJs including Grandmaster Flash and Annie Mac that will air until 06.00 without ads or commentary.
The audience will be able to make requests, react to the selections and chat with each other through social media via the House Party website.
Acme Films, which previously produced Banksy’s All Nighter for Channel 4, is behind the broadcast, with Jaimie D’Cruz (Exit Through the Gift Shop) executive producing.
The evening was commissioned by Channel 4 arts commissioner Tabitha Jackson.
