An Iranian broadcaster has become the latest Middle Eastern network to pick up rights to a Colombian period telenovela from Caracol TV Internacional.

Love and Fear
Farsi 1 will begin airing Love and Fear (Amar y Temer, 90x60′) this month after the series first aired on Caracol TV last year.
The novela, produced by Caracol and Sony Pictures Television, is set in 1950s Colombia, where a woman fakes her own suicide to escape her controlling husband, before pretending to be a man to survive.
It has previously aired in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen, among other countries.
