Broadcasters in Spain, Poland, Turkey and Russia are the latest to acquire Hit Entertainment’s boy-skewing preschooler Mike the Knight.
TVE (Spain), MiniMini (Poland), DigiTurk (Turkey) and Karusel (Russia) have bought the show, which is Thomas the Tank Engine prodco Hit’s most recent production.
The show debuted on CBeebies in the UK last year and has quickly built up sizeable broadcast and L&M businesses. Hit has so far scored 21 international broadcast deals, with channels such as Super RTL (Germany), Nick Jr (US) and Cartoon Network (Italy).
Mattel-owned Hit has also sold a 14-hour in-flight content package, including Mike, Thomas & Friends, Fireman Sam and Bob the Builder, to the Emirates airline.
