MTV in the US is to air an award-winning documentary about a homeless teenage immigrant who pursues dreams of becoming an artist.
Inocente, winner of the Best Documentary Short award at the San Antonio Film Festival, will premiere on Friday August 17 at 22.00.
The 42-minute doc was funded by Shine Global, a non-profit company dedicated to ending the abuse and exploitation of children by raising awareness through film production. It follows the fortunes of a 15-year-old girl who refuses to let the bleakness of her surroundings spoil her dreams of becoming an artist.
Inocente was directed by Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine and produced by Yael Melamede, Albie Hecht, Sean Fine, Andrea Nix Fine and Emanual Michael. It is a Salty Features, Unison Films and Fine Films production.
