Finnish broadcaster Nelonen Media has become the first channel to acquire a new magic-themed toon from Italy’s Gruppo Alcuni.
Symo & Rose
Symo & Rose (52x6′) is currently in production with Gruppo Alcuni, which is behind shows such as Cuccioli, Pet Pals, Marco Polo’s Code, Galileo and Leonardo.
The new show, which has no dialogue and will be broadcast on Nelonen next March, is about the magic that goes on in two young siblings’ bedroom five minutes before the morning alarm goes off. It targets schoolchildren but also features references to famous movies such as Star Wars and King Kong.
The pick-up is Gruppo Alcuni’s first sale into Scandinavia.
