Colombia’s Caracol Television and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) will coproduce a new telenovela about a hypochondriac woman mistakenly diagnosed with a terminal illness.

La Hipocondriaca (120x60′) will star Stephanie Cayo as the young woman and Ernesto Calzadilla as the doctor who gives her just six months to live.
The series is written by Ana Maria Parra Vasquez (Marido y Mujer, Las Noches De Luciana) and is due to begin production in October. It will then air on Caracol.
The telenovela comes as part of a three-year coproduction deal signed between Caracol and SPT in August last year. The pair has previously collaborated on action/mystery series The Labyrinth (aka El Laberinto).
