Broadcasters in Eastern Europe have acquired a raft of factual and lifestyle content from UK distributor Passion Distribution.
Investigation Discovery in Poland has picked up Frenemies: Loyalty Turned Lethal (12x30′), made by Atlas Media, and Scripps Networks International series The Dead Files (19x60′, 2x60′).
Pro Plus Slovenia has acquired seasons one-to-four of other Scripps shows including Cupcake Wars (48x60′), Celebrity Motor Homes (4x30′) and Home Strange Home (1x60′). Fat Chef (6x60′) and season one and two of Ace Of Cakes (18x30′) have also been taken by Czech Republic broadcaster FTV Prima.
The latter broadcaster has picked up a number of Figure 8-produced documentaries from Passion’s ‘shock docs’ strand, including Transgender Teens, Conjoined At the Head and Saving Life and Limb.
Meanwhile, Discovery Networks has bought seasons one and two of Discovery Studios’ Extreme Clutter (14x60′) and season two of the Harpo Studios-produced In the Bedroom With Dr Laura Berman (6x60′) for its female-skewing lifestyle network TLC in Poland, Romania and Russia. Both series were originally produced for US cablenet OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
