The head of coproduction at the commercial arm of German pubcaster ZDF is taking charge of the broadcaster’s feature film division.

Susanne Müller
Susanne Müller has been head of ZDF Enterprises’ coproduction and programme development department since 2008.
However, after more than five years at ZDFE, she has now moved to head ZDF’s movie department.
Alexander Coridass, president and CEO of ZDFE, said Müller had “led and developed the department with great commitment and know-how, thus contributing substantially to our success in the genres ZDFE.drama, ZDFE.junior and ZDFE.factual.”
Müller joins ZDF ahead of former Eyeworks Germany CEO Oliver Fuchs, taking up the role of head of entertainment at the pubcaster.
ZDF was unavailable to clarify whether Müller would be replaced and what the impact her move might have on future coproduction strategy.
UPDATE: A spokeswoman said Müller was unlikely to be directly replaced as ZDFE is undergoing an internal restructure, the shape of which will be announced in due course.
