NEWS BRIEF: Global children’s channel KidsCo has commissioned Australian prodco Matchbox Pictures (The Slap) to produce a shortform series developed with Aussie actress, comedian and writer Julie Eckersley.
The series is set to air in early 2013 across all KidsCo territories. The firm has also acquired seasons one and two of the Matchbox-produced drama My Place (26x22′), which will air in the second half of 2012 across Eastern Europe and Asia.
