CEE nets on parade with BBCWW

Broadcasters across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) have acquired BBC Worldwide (BBCWW) dramas including Parade’s End, which has clocked up 17 territories in the region.

HBO, a coproducer on the series, will deliver the CEE premiere on its pan-regional feed, but other broadcasters, including RTV in Slovenia, LTV in Latvia, ETV in Estonia and STV in Slovakia, have also acquired rights.

STV and the Czech Republic’s TV Barrandov have licensed Sinbad and Call the Midwife, while LTV has also taken the latter show.

Meanhile, RTV has picked up Scott & Bailey seasons one and two; STV and TV Barrandov have taken Inside Men; and LTV and ETV have gone for the second season of Upstairs Downstairs.

The sales come as BBCWW faces an organisational shake-up.
