ABC Family poaches TV Guide exec

US cable channel ABC Family has tapped a TV Guide Network exec as its new senior VP of acquisitions and scheduling.

Lynn Stepanian will be responsible for all off-network series and feature acquisitions and oversee strategic scheduling, reporting to ABC Family president Michael Riley.

She joins from TV Guide, where she was VP of strategy, scheduling and acquisitions. Her previous roles also include senior VP of programming and distribution at The CW affiliate channel operator The CW Plus.

Her appointment comes eight months after ABC Family’s executive VP of programme acquisitions and scheduling Tom Zappala left the network after eight years. He joined Spike TV as executive VP of programming a month later.
