Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is opening a new office to serve its Adriatic networks business and hired an MTV Adria executive to take charge.
The office, in the Croatian capital Zagreb, will deliver distribution, marketing, public relations and support services to SPT’s channels across the region.
SPT Networks operates the AXN channel for the Adriatic region, airing in the Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian and Slovenian languages.
Advertising sales will continue to be handled by Cable Direct, a joint venture between the company and SPT.
Meanwhile, Tomislav Gajsak has been appointed as Adriatic sales manager of SPT Networks. He will be charged with leading the company’s relationships with local cable operators and will manage a team of marketing and support staff.
He previously worked for MTV Adria, where for four years he was head of affiliate in charge of distributing Viacom’s brands across Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia. Before that, he was country manager for National Geographic Channel, Jetix and Travel Channel.
