US business news network CNBC has teamed up with Yahoo! Finance on a content deal that will see the firms coproduce a new slate of co-branded online videos.
The programmes, which are due to air this autumn, will include market reports and profiles of prominent business people and will appear on the Yahoo! Finance site and CNBC.com.
Through the partnership, CNBC content – including videos, analysis and news stories – will also be prominently placed on Yahoo! Finance, the Yahoo! homepage and other parts of the Yahoo! site.
At the same time, Yahoo! Finance’s journalists will contribute to CNBC’s in-house Business Day programming, which airs on the network between 5am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Yahoo! has made a major push into original online programming in the last year.
Discovery Networks said earlier this month it was adapting a 48-part Yahoo! Lifestyle web series, called Bumps, Babies & Beyond into a 6x30’ series for Discovery Home & Health in the UK and TLC across Western Europe.
