Breakthrough Entertainment’s documentary Customer (Dis)Service has been picked up by US specialty channel CNBC, while AETN Asia has closed a multi-territory deal for its one-off Clash of Cultures – China and the West.
The deals are among several closed recently by the Canadian producer/distributor.
The investigative (Dis)Service doc follows the back-and-forth between cost-cutting corporations and their often frustrated customers. Breakthrough also sold factual series War of the Wheels and Combat to US-based MAV TV.
In addition, factual series The Future Revealed went to Vietnam Television and Countdown to the Future to i-CABLE in Hong Kong, while Customer (Dis)Service was also picked up by True Branded Channel in Thailand.
In Europe and the Middle East, Breakthrough sold the reality series Plastic Makes Perfect to Nelonen Media in Finland and the claymation series What it’s Like Being Alone to Russia’s Telekanal 2x2 and Turkey’s TRT, among others.
