Sony Pictures Television Networks has launched its Asian general entertainment channel, One, on Indonesia’s leading pay-TV platform, Indovision.
The new deal means that the satellite TV provider will now carry five SPT Networks channels – One, AXN, AXN Beyond, Sony Entertainment Television and Animax – and will substantially boost the channel’s presence in the country.
One is already available through Indonesian cable provider First Media and launched last year through IPTV service Groovia. The channel, which has an exclusive deal to air Korean drama series from Seoul-based content supplier and broadcaster SBS, is also available in Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia, Brunei and Australia.
