US network The CW has greenlit production of a new gameshow based on party game musical chairs, from producer Phil Gurin (The Singing Bee, Shark Tank).
Oh Sit!, which will have a 10x60’ run, is described by the network as a “high stakes, high octane musical chairs competition.” Twenty contestants will go head-to-head through five obstacle course-style elimination rounds as they compete for a chair, all to the sound of a live band. At the end of the game, one contestant will win a cash prize.
Oh Sit! is created and exec produced by Phil Gurin, Richard Joel and Deena Dill. It is produced by The Gurin Company and 405 Productions. A transmission date has not yet been set. Earlier this week, the CBS-Warner Bros joint venture net confirmed the pick-up of Canadian teen drama LA Complex.
