Broadcasters in Russia have acquired more than 60 hours of content from UK factual producer/distributor Parthenon Entertainment, including underwater exploration series Marine Machines.
The 13x60′ series has been picked up by 24Techno TV in Parthenon’s first sale to the channel.
Parthenon has also sold a 13-hour package to Russian Report, comprising The Meadow (1x60′ HD) and National Geographic Channels’ Science Exposed (12x60′ HD), as well as Mystery Files II (13x30′ HD), Ancient Discoveries (6x60′) and Super Human Series 1 (2x60′) to Russia 2.
Russia K (fka Kultura) will air Last Stand of the Templars (1x60′ HD) and Giant Monsters (2x60′), while Red Media Group will show Animals That Made History (6x30′) on its network 365 Days.
Elsewhere, Pathenon has also secured deals in Central and Eastern Europe, with Inter TV Ukraine picking up 15.5 hours of programming for Inter TV, Mega Channel and K1 channels. Titles include Mystery Files II (13x30′ HD), Caught in the Act III (1x60′ HD) and Ancient Megastructures II (6x60′ HD).
The sales followed the Focus on Russia theme of last month’s Mipcom.
