Maryannne Culpepper has been named president of National Geographic Television (NGT), replacing Michael Rosenfeld, who stepped down last month.

Culpepper (left), previously exec VP of editorial and new business development at NGT, will report to Ted Prince, chief operating officer at Nat Geo Global Media.
NGT is the documentary production arm of the National Geographic Society and makes much of the content on National Geographic Channel.
“Maryanne’s strong track record in the creative development process and her in-depth knowledge of every aspect of National Geographic’s content assets – from mission programmes to magazine stories – make her the ideal leader to head this critical function,” said Prince.
Culpepper joined NGT in 1996 after heading Orlando, Florida-based production company Graffiti Works, where she made shows for National Geographic, Discovery, PBS and Time-Life.
