Home (10×60’) offers a never-before-seen look inside some of the world’s most exclusive properties, while giving insight from the people who dreamed up the spaces.

The series will be produced by Matt Tyrnauer and Corey Reese’s Altimeter Films as well as Time Inc and Media Weaver, with Tyrnauer directing.

Executive producers include Matthew Weaver, Ian Orefice, Bruce Gersh from Time Inc and Joe Poulin, CEO of Luxury Retreats.

Home will be Apple’s first documentary-style show following a string of content commissions and staff hires to support its original video push.

Most recently, the tech giant confirmed it was developing an original series based on a novel by Kathleen Barber entitled Are You Sleeping, with Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures) starring.

Towards the end of last year, the company commissioned a two-season drama executive produced and starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.

Former Sony Pictures Television presidents Jamie Erlicht and Zach Van Amburg arrived in June to lead the firm’s programming strategy.

Other hires include, Amazon’s Morgan Wandell as head of international creative development, and former Channel 4 chief creative officer Jay Hunt, who is leading efforts in Europe.

Apple’s slate also includes Amazing Stories, a 10-part reboot of Steven Spielberg’s series, and a space drama from Star Trek veteran Ronald D Moore.
