Apple strikes up more Carpool Karaoke

Carpool Karaoke originated on James Corden’s talkshow

Apple has ordered a second season of Carpool Karaoke, its show based on the popular segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The series sees celebrities singing along with host Corden as he drives them to various destinations.

Carpool Karaoke is produced by CBS Television Studios and Fulwell 73, the prodco run by Ben Winston, who exec produces Corden’s talker.

The arrangement for the first season with Apple, via CBS Studios International and Fulwell, saw one episode of the 16-part season become available each week to subscribers in more than 100 countries.

The original segment is set to continue on Corden’s talkshow on CBS, which also operates streaming service CBS All Access.
