APC in English-language drama first

Paris-based distributor and TV finance specialist About Premium Content (APC) has added global rights to an English-language drama series to its sales slate for the first time.

Keeping Faith, an 8×60’ thriller, was jointly commissioned by Welsh-language broadcaster S4C and BBC Wales and is being produced by Vox Pictures for broadcast in 2017/18.

It is being shot in both English and Welsh, with Eve Myles (Torchwood, Broadchurch) in the lead role. The Welsh-language version, titled Un Bore Mercher, will debut first, launching on S4C this autumn.

APC’s main shareholder, UK-based Nevision, is gap-financing the show and APC will handle all international broadcast sales, including the UK where TV rights are still available.

APC has already secured a coproduction deal with Acorn Media Enterprises for all rights across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Keeping Faith’s plot focuses on a woman who finds out her husband has been leading a double life.

Emmanuelle Guilbart, joint CEO and co-founder of APC, said: “We first scouted Keeping Faith at Séries Mania two years ago and knew immediately it was a project we wanted to be involved in.

“Moving into English-language drama marks the next step in the growth of our portfolio and we are excited to have secured a home for the show in the US already, and look forward to taking it to audiences across the globe.”
