Annedroids heads to Lat Am

Discovery and broadcasters in Europe have picked up children’s and factual programming from Canada’s Picture Box Distribution, including Amazon Originals kids’ series Annedroids.

Annedroids (26×30′) is a live-action/CGI series produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment in association with TVOKids in Canada that follows a genius child scientist and her group of friends as they perform experiments in her junkyard laboratory.

The series has sold to Discovery Kids Latin America, which will hold the rights in most of the region with the exception of Brazil, where Globo-owned kids’ channel Gloob will air the show. This comes after Discovery Kids Asia acquired the series last month.

Meanwhile, NRK Super in Norway has bought the third and fourth seasons of Annedroids, having already picked up the first two.

Elsewhere, Junior TV in Italy has picked up Sinking Ship Entertainment’s live-action series Roll Play (124×4′), animated series Yup Yups (50×2′) from Radical Sheep Productions and Flux Animation’s Wiki the Kiwi (25×7′).
