Annedroids goes global with Amazon

Annedroids celebrates science, technology, engineering and maths

Sinking Ship Entertainment has sold kids’ series Annedroids to Amazon, which will make the show available in its territories around the world.

Global streamer Amazon will give the show its first run in territories including Denmark, Switzerland, Israel, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Finland (seasons three and four only), Italy and France.

Second-window rights have been taken in Finland (seasons one and two only), Belgium, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Brazil, Sweden and Norway.

Annedroids is produced in association with TVOKids, Radio-Canada and Knowledge Network in Canada, Amazon Prime in the US and UK, SVT in Sweden and Ki.Ka in Germany.

The live-action/CG series celebrates science, technology, engineering and maths, all through the lens of an 11-year-old girl.

It has already been sold to key partners internationally including Disney Channels for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Discovery for Latin America and Asia, RTBF (Belgium), NRK (Norway), YLE (Finland), Medialaan (Belgium), RTL (Netherlands), ABC (Australia), TV3 (New Zealand), Globosat (Brazil), Daydreamers (Malta) and, more recently, RUV (Iceland).
