AMPN adapts Talpa duo

Two African networks have ordered local versions of Talpa Media formats The Winner Is and I Love My Country, to be produced by a South African production outfit.

Gameshow The Winner Is, in which contestants are offered cash prizes in return for elimination, will be produced by AMPN and has been slated to air on Nigeria’s Star this summer.

It has already been broadcast in the US on NBC, where it was pulled after one season, while local versions are on air in more than 25 countries, including France, Italy, China and the Middle East.

African network ETV will also air a local version of Talpa’s quiz I Love My Country, which is also being produced by AMPN and is set to debut at the start of May.
