AMC stages Sundance in France

AMC Networks International (AMCNI) is expanding the reach of its global version of Sundance Channel in France after agreeing a deal with a local pay TV operator.

CanalSat will launch Sundance Channel Global to its subscribers, offering AMC’s feature films and documentaries as well as its original drama series including The Walking Dead.

The channel will launch on February 9 as a 24/7 linear HD net available to CanalSat’s 18 million pay TV households. Other dramas on the slate include Rectify, The Principal and Mad Men.
