US cablenet AMC will launch in the UK on subscription IPTV service BT TV at the end of the month and has scheduled the local premiere for The Walking Dead spin-off Fear the Walking Dead.

AMC Networks International’s flagship channel will make its UK debut ^[1] on telco BT’s service on August 28.

The channel will premiere Fear the Walking Dead on Monday August 31 at 21.00 (GMT), just over a week after it launches on AMC in the US, on August 23.

“There is a tremendous level of excitement around the debut of Fear the Walking Dead, and we’re looking forward to showcasing the series exclusively for UK audiences on AMC from BT,” said Bruce Tuchman, president of AMC and Sundance Channel Global.

The network will also feature other dramas from AMC Networks including the acclaimed series Rectify, from the producers of Breaking Bad. The show premieres exclusively on AMC on BT TV at 21.00 (GMT) on Tuesday September 1.
