AMC Hungary for greater reach

AMC Networks has widened the distribution of its flagship channel in Hungary by launching on Digi platforms.

The deal with one of the country’s leading telecoms operators stretches AMC’s reach to more than 2.2 million households in Hungary. It is currently available on Digi’s basic satellite package and will extend to its cable platform basic package in August.

AMC was originally launched in Hungary in November 2014 and has premiered shows including Better Call Saul, Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad this year.

The channel will broadcast The Walking Dead spin-off Fear the Walking Dead simultaneously with its US premiere next month.
