AMC adds BBCWW drama for Sundance

AMC Networks International has picked up a slate of drama including The Honourable Woman and The Great Train Robbery for its Sundance Channel outside the US.

Political thriller The Honourable Woman (8×60’), starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, has been picked up from BBC Worldwide and will premiere on Sundance Channel in Asia. It was original produced by Drama Republic for BBC2 in the UK and Sundance in the US.

The Great Train Robbery (2×90’), which focuses on one of the world’s most notorious crimes, was produced by World Productions and is distributed by Content Media. It too will premiere on Sundance in Asia.

Other acquisitions include the second season of Sundance Channel original The Red Road (6×60’) from Canada’s Entertainment One (eOne). It will air 24 hours after its US debut in Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa as well as key European territories such as France, Iberia, Benelux, Poland and CEE.

eOne has also shopped Welcome to Sweden (10×30’) while Avalon has sold Catastrophe (6×30’) to air in Benelux.
