Amazon summons Fox’s Exorcist

The Exorcist is a copro between Morgan Creek and 20th Century Fox Television

Amazon has struck an exclusive streaming deal with 20th Century Fox Distribution to bring the TV adaptation of cult horror film The Exorcist to its SVoD service.

A coproduction between Morgan Creek Productions and 20th Century Fox Television, The Exorcist will be available for users of Amazon Prime Video in 200 countries and territories.

It will be rolled out to these regions following the second season’s finale on US network Fox.

Along with The Exorcist, Amazon has also obtained a licence to stream drama This Is Us. The show, written by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love), follows the intertwining lives of its characters, some of whom were born on the same day, as their paths cross in curious ways.

It first aired in the US on NBC, which decided earlier in 2017 to keep season two in its Tuesday slot. It has previously aired on Channel 4 in the UK and Network Ten in Australia.
