Amazon is bolstering its Channels line-up in the UK via deals with PBS America and music net Stingray Classica.
Both channels will be available to Prime members through the Prime Video app, with the ad-free service from PBS America offering science, history and current affairs programming including filmmaker Ken Burns’ series The Civil War.
Stingray Classica becomes Amazon Channels’ first purely classical music service, offering a range of full-length ballets, operas and classical concerts including chamber music and music for worship.
PBS America On Demand will cost £3.49 (US$4.60) per month while Stingray Classica will be £5.99.
Amazon’s UK Channels service already offers live streaming of third-party linear networks from broadcasters including Discovery and ITV via its Prime service.
