Alphanim signs coproducer for Robotboy

MIPCOM NEWS – French animation house Alphanim has lined up a coproducer for its new 52-part toon in development, Robotboy, about a trio of kids who get sent a crate from their Japanese uncle that contains a prototype robot.

Following a coproduction deal between Alphanim and Cartoon Network Europe for Spaced Out, the animation company has teamed up with Cartoon Network US on the new 52×13′ toon.

Robotboy is a robot who just wants to fit in with his friends. Together they take on a villainous organisation that wish to use Robotboy for their evil means. Cartoon Network is to broadcast Robotboy in autumn 2004.

Spaced Out rolled out on Cartoon Network in Europe over this year, with terrestrial airings in Canada, Spain and France.
