The distribution arm of the UK-based production group, jointly owned by Discovery Communications and Liberty Global, will open in Singapore this year. It will be overseen by the recently promoted Sabrina Duguet, as previously announced.

Duguet was appointed All3Media International’s exec VP for Asia Pacific in November last year and will take charge of the region’s sales team in early December.

All3Media International has already sold a number of its formats, such as Gogglebox and Sexy Beasts, to broadcasters in Asia Pacific and will now look to export some of the region’s show around the world.

Steve Macallister, CEO at All3Media International, told C21 the office has been to set up to enable the company to “tap into a market that has a history of very innovative format ideas.”

The company is also in the process opening a sales office in New York and poached A+E Networks’ Sally Habbershaw to run it last week.

The new offices are the distributor’s first outside of the UK and come as the company adopts what it describes as a “regionally focused approach to distribution and customer service.”

In related news, Macallister confirmed that Amazon has come onboard as a coproduction partner on the BBC3-commissioned comedy series Fleabag, giving it exclusive US rights.

The six-part series will be filmed in 4K and comes from UK prodco Two Brothers Pictures, with whom All3Media has a first-look distribution deal. It was created by and stars comedian Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
