All3Media names CEO

All3Media has finally named its new CEO, following the departure of Farah Ramzan Golant last year.

The UK-based production group has promoted MD Jane Turton to fill the top spot, which she will start with immediate effect.

Turton joined All3Media in October 2008 as director of business development and business affairs and deputy chief operating officer, before being made chief operating officer in 2011.

She has been leading the company’s business on an interim basis since Golant stepped down in September in the wake of Discovery Communications and Liberty Global receiving approval for their joint acquisition of the company.

“After a global search for a new CEO, Jane was the resounding and clear choice to lead All3Media’s business in 2015 and beyond,” said Niall Curran, president of Liberty Global Content Investment.

Turton said she was “delighted” to become CEO in what is a “hugely exiting time to be leading an international production company.”

“With its wealth of incredible talent and breadth of award winning content All3Media is in prime position to take full advantage of the opportunities opening up in the ever changing content market,” she said. “I very much look forward to leading All3Media to a future of continued global growth with the support of our new shareholders and my fantastic team and colleagues across the group.”

Her appointment caps of months of senior management hires and departures following the Discovery-Liberty takeover.

Last month, All3Media International appointed former Zodiak Rights boss Steve Macallister as its new CEO, following the resignation of Louise Pedersen.

Wife Swap creator Stephen Lambert – once thought to be a contender for the top job himself – also signed a five-year deal with All3 that will provide funding to launch a drama division under his Studio Lambert banner, with former BBC producer Susan Hogg brought in to lead the unit.

All3 group consists of 20 global production and distribution companies and is behind dramas such as Midsomer Murders, Skins, Wolf Hall and factual titles including Gogglebox and Undercover Boss.
