All3Media adopts Two Brothers

All3Media has acquired Two Brothers Pictures, the UK production outfit behind BBC comedy Fleabag established by writers and producers Harry and Jack Williams.

The Williams brothers established Two Brothers in 2014 and were joined last year by chief operating officer Claire Evans

Under the new deal, financial details of which were not disclosed, All3Media International will be the distribution partner for the prodco.

Jane Turton, CEO of Discovery- and Liberty Global-owned All3Media, said: “It’s very exciting welcoming Two Brothers to All3Media. The variety, quality and popularity of the series on their slate is exceptional and I look forward to working with Jack, Harry and Claire as they grow the business and launch new titles around the world.”

As producers, the Williams’s took Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s break-out dark comedy Fleabag from the stage at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to UK pubcaster the BBC and the show has since been carried by Amazon in the US.

The brothers also received acclaim for writing and coproducing both runs of The Missing, produced by All3 prodco New Pictures in association with Two Brothers for BBC1 and Starz.

More recently, Two Brothers announced new commissions including Liar, a six-part thriller for ITV; Rellik, a murder mystery coproduction with New Pictures for BBC1; Hong Kong-set conspiracy thriller White Dragon for ITV; and one-off TV comedy short When Cary Grant Introduced Timothy Leary to LSD for Sky Arts’ Playhouse Presents series.

In addition, the firm coproduced four-part thriller One of Us for the BBC in 2016.

All3’s stable of drama prodcos also includes Company Pictures, Neal Street Productions, Bentley Productions and the drama division of Studio Lambert. In 2015 it invested in a fledgling London-based television drama company formed by renowned directors, writers and producers Anand Tucker and Sharon Maguire.
