All3 takes Million Second Quiz global

All3Media International will shop ambitious new NBC interactive entertainment format The Million Second Quiz to broadcasters around the world.

The distributor, sibling to producers All3Media America and Studio Lambert, has picked up global sales rights to both the format and the finished show, which is due to debut on NBC in the autumn.

The Million Second Quiz, greenlit last month, is a hybrid reality gameshow that sees contestants compete and live inside a giant hourglass in central Manhattan for 12 days straight.

The show, which NBC has described as “the first fully convergent television experience,” forms part of the Peacock’s 2013/14 season line-up, unveiled at the Upfronts over the weekend.

All3Media International will launch the show at Mipcom in October.
