UK-based 2le was founded by Michael Livingstone (Star Stories) and Tom Thostrup, who produced two series of the Bafta-nominated Facejacker for Channel 4’s youth-skewing digital channel E4.

The deal gives All3Media International first-look rights to all future 2le productions for an undisclosed fee. The first project to come from the partnership is Asylum, a 3×30’ comedy drama produced for BBC4 as part of the pubcaster’s Taking Liberties season.

The plot focuses on a self-important former GCHQ analyst holed up in a fictional Central-American embassy in London and facing extradition for leaking classified CIA documents.

2le has previously produced The Work Experience for E4, mixing sitcom, mockumentary and prank show.

All3Media was bought out by US media giants Discovery Communications and Liberty Global for US$933m in May last year.
